1. Acceptance of terms

These Terms & Conditions (the “Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Second Look AI (“Second Look AI,” “we,” “us”), the provider of the Second Look AI service (the “Service”). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms and to our disclaimers. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Not legal advice

Second Look AI provides educational analysis of criminal case records and is not a law firm. Using the Service does not create an attorney-client relationship. You should consult a licensed Ohio attorney regarding your specific matter.

3. Your content and account

You are responsible for the accuracy of the case information, documents, and other materials you upload (“Customer Data”). You represent that you have the right to submit that data and to grant the licenses described below. Keep your account credentials confidential.

4. How we use Customer Data internally

You grant Second Look AI a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, process, analyze, and reproduce Customer Data for any internal business purpose, including but not limited to:

Operating, maintaining, and securing the Service;
Generating, delivering, and improving AI-powered analyses, reports, and features;
Training, evaluating, and improving machine-learning models and internal tooling;
Producing aggregated, de-identified, or statistical data sets for research, benchmarking, and product development;
Analytics, quality assurance, fraud prevention, customer support, and internal reporting.

Aggregated or de-identified data derived from Customer Data may be retained and used by Second Look AI indefinitely and does not identify you or any individual.

5. Service providers and disclosures

Second Look AI shares Customer Data only with the service providers and subprocessors that are necessary to operate the Service (collectively, “Service Providers”), and only for the limited purposes set out below. Service Providers are bound by contract to use Customer Data solely to provide services to Second Look AI and to maintain appropriate security.

Cloud hosting, database, authentication, and storage providers used to run the Service;
AI model providers used to generate case analyses, timelines, and drafts;
Stripe — Payment Processor. Payment card processing, checkout, subscription billing, invoicing, and the customer billing portal are provided by Stripe, Inc. Stripe is a separate data controller for cardholder data.
Error monitoring and analytics providers used to keep the Service secure and reliable.

Second Look AI does not sell Customer Data, and does not share Customer Data with third parties for their own marketing or for unrelated joint offerings. Second Look AI may disclose Customer Data when required by law, subpoena, or valid legal process, or where necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Second Look AI, its users, or the public.

6. Your choices

You may request deletion of your account and associated Customer Data by contacting us. Aggregated or de-identified data, and data we are required to retain by law, may be kept after deletion of your account.

7. Payments, subscriptions and refunds

Subscription pricing, billing cycles (monthly or annual), and applicable taxes are shown on our pricing page before you purchase. Subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing period at the then-current price until you cancel. You may cancel at any time from your account settings; cancellation stops future renewals and access continues to the end of the current period.

Payments are processed by Stripe, Inc. as our payment processor. Second Look AI is the seller of record. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never touch our servers. Stripe’s use of your payment data is governed by their Privacy Policy. Our own Refund Policy describes our 30-day money-back guarantee.

8. Acceptable use

You agree not to upload data you have no right to submit, use the Service to harass or harm others, attempt to reverse-engineer the Service, or use it to violate any applicable law. We may suspend or terminate access for material breach, non-payment, security or fraud risk, or repeated policy violations.

8. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Second Look AI disclaims all warranties, express or implied, and shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service.

9. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
